Overview
Avanan offers an Email Security Portal for end users to access all quarantined emails. In this portal, end users can preview the quarantined emails, restore them, or submit a restore request for them - all in accordance with the defined organization's policies.
The Email Security Portal only shows the quarantined emails that users can act on - either restore directly or request to restore.
The email's availability in the Email Security Portal depends on its metadata retention period.
The availability of action buttons (Restore / Request Restore) and email body depends on the raw email's retention period.

For Microsoft quarantined emails:
Taking action might fail if the email is no longer retained in Microsoft's quarantine.
Once restored, the email body will not be visible.
The default setting is to send junk/spam email to your junk/spam folder. Regardless, the Email Security Portal will always show junk/spam messages.

Requesting a Restore
Please provide a brief summary on why the email should be restored, then click "Submit".
Please provide specific details regarding the email message to ensure the Email Security Team can expedite your restore request. More than 98% of all restore requests are for non-legitimate phishing emails.

Restore Request Status
If the Email Security Team found the email as safe, the email message will be restored and automatically delivered to your inbox. You can view the updated status from within the portal.

If the Email Security Team finds the email contains dangerous links or attachments your restore request may be declined.

You will also receive an email notifying you if your request was declined.
