MiCloud Connect - Transferring a Call

Overview

The Connect Client presents a single interface to manage business communications using a Mitel desk phone, computer, or mobile phone. With support for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Collaboration for Web, the Connect client simplifies your day-to-day communications and streamlines your work.

Transferring a Call

The Connect client allows you to do the following kinds of transfer operations or other actions related to transfers:  

  • Blind Transfer  
  • Consultative transfer 
  • Park  
  • Intercom 
  • Whisper  
  • Voicemail

Transferring a Call using the Blind Transfer Option

In Blind Transfer, you cannot to talk to the person that you want to transfer the call to, prior to making the call transfer. You can do the blind transfer using the drag and drop option, the contextual menu, and from the call notification area.


To do a blind transfer using the drag and drop option:

  1. In the Quick Dialer Search bar, type the contact name or the extension number.
  2. On the dashboard, drag the call from the call notification area and drop it on the contact in the second pane.

To do a blind transfer using the contextual menu:

  1. In the Quick Dialer Search bar, type the contact name or the extension number.
  2. Drag the call from the call notification area and hover over the contact for two seconds to view the contextual menu. Select Blind transfer from the contextual menu to complete the call transfer.
    To do a blind transfer from the call notification:
  • Before answering the call:
    1. On the dashboard, click the right arrow icon in the call notification.
    2. In the second pane search field, type the contact name or the phone number.
    3. Click Transfer.
  • After answering the call:
    1. In the second pane, click the phone icon with the right arrow.
    2. In the second pane search field, type the contact name or the phone number.
    3. Click Transfer.

Transferring a Call Using the Consult Option

In consultative transfer, you can to talk to the person that you want to transfer the call to, prior to making the call transfer.

  • Before answering the call:
    1. On the dashboard, click the right arrow in the call notification.
    2. . In the second pane search field, type the contact name or the phone number.
    3. Click Consult.
    4. In the Consulting window, click right arrow to complete the call transfer.
  • After answering the call:
    1. In the second pane, click phone with the right arrow.
    2. In the second pane search field, type the contact name or phone number.
    3. Click Consult. The active call goes on hold and the Consulting window appears.
    4. Click right arrow to complete the call transfer.
